Narative Text
  • A Narrative text is an imaginative story to entertain people as the reader or as the listener . 

  • The Characteristics of a narrative text :
                1. Orientation
                      It tell about the setting in time and place and characters.
  
                2.  Complications

                      This part tells us about problem (s) to be solved by characters.  

                3.  Resolutions
        
                      is describes the solutions to the complication (s) and gives and ending to the story.

  •   The Participants or characters in " Beauty and The Best " are : Belle , The Fairy , The beast .


               2. The Use of past tense

  •  1. When activity or situon began and ended at a particular time in the past in other words ,               when  an activity or situation  is compleated in the past


  •  2. To refer to past habist
  •  3. Indicator of time : last week , last year , Yesterday , Ago



               3. Narrative text usually Begins with :


  •      Once upon a time , one day , long time , two years ago , etc



               4. A Lot of action Verbs such as : 


  •    Went , saw , bought , slept , etc


               5. Many Connectives or conjuctions


  • 1. Connectives are used to show a sequence of events or activities. The example of connectives are : first , second , then , next , after that , and finally. 


  • 2. Conjunctions are words to connect clauses or sentences or to coordinate words in the same         clauses. The examples of conjunctions are : and , but , or , etc
